Manor Farm Community Junior School

Manor Farm Community Junior School is a purpose built Junior School which opened in September 1974. We share a site with our partner Infant school, a pre-school and a day nursery. We have four pairs of classrooms arranged around a landscaped courtyard.

Our Assembly Hall / Gymnasium is used for a wide range of activities and is used by many community organisations for evening and weekend use. Other facilities include a centralised fiction and reference library with an electronic record keeping system and an entrance hall conference area. Our computer suite has full broadband internet access and has 34 PCs running Microsoft Office and a range of educational software, with a further 16 in classrooms and other resource/teaching areas. The computers are linked through a wired network to a central server and by a wireless network to classroom PCs and teachers’ laptops. The school has a large playground, an environmental studies area and a field for games that it shares with the neighbouring Infant School.

This is an exciting time for Manor Farm. We have a strong, friendly and dedicated staff team and enthusiastic, confident children. We are over-subscribed in every year group (please contact the school if you wish to be placed on our waiting list). We have been accredited with Investors in People which reflects our commitment to our staff team. We have been awarded a Charter Mark, awarded for excellence. Charter Mark is awarded to public services who put customers (in our case our children and parents) first and who promote choice, flexibility and innovation. We also achieved the prestigious Artsmark Gold, because of our dedication to promoting the Arts. Most recently, we have been awarded Activemark, a demonstration of our commitment to providing a high quality, all round education for our children.
